SpeakIt receives the URL or text you email, fetches the article content, converts it to speech, and sends the MP3 back. Audio files are stored temporarily and deleted after 7 days. There is no user account, no reading history, and no profiling. We do not sell or share your content with third parties.
Read-later apps vary significantly in their data practices. Most store your reading list and listening history in their cloud as part of their core sync feature, which is what makes them useful across devices — but it also means your content habits are retained as long as you have an account.
